Microwave Measurements

The Microwave Measurements Workshop covers all major aspects of microwave measurement techniques and RF measurement equipment. Characterization of PCB prototype circuits and silicon integrated circuits (IC) is discussed based on real-world examples. The major topics covered by the workshop are summarized below.

  • RF laboratory equipment and the corresponding RF and microwave measurement techniques for on-wafer and coaxial testing environments for frequencies up to mm-wave range.
  • Microwave laboratory equipment including network-, spectrum-, impedance-analyzers, vector signal generators/analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
  • Coaxial calibration, custom PCB design and de-embedding
  • On-wafer calibration, passive component design and de-embedding
  • Hands-on training for benchtop and on-wafer RF measurement setups.
  • Real-world calibration and measurements with Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer and Signal Generator.

A short preview of the workshop material is given in the online tutorial. On-site training events at your institute or company with a customized agenda are also possible upon request.
